With Desert Roadrunner fixed route service, the buses run all day from 5:40 am to 10:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, 5:40 am to 7:30 pm, Friday and 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday and some holidays. Fixed route bus service means there's no need to make transportation reservations ahead of time. Frequent bus service around the Palo Verde Valley makes it easier for you to get to where you want to go. Most bus stops are located within a brief walk of your home, office, work or school.

The three Desert Roadrunner routes operate between Ehrenberg, east Blythe, Blythe, Palo Verde College, Mesa Verde and California State Prisons.

To ensure you catch the bus, be at the bus stop a little before the scheduled departure time. Do not stand in the road. As the bus approaches, signal the driver that you wish to board by waving your hand. Once on board, pay your fare, take a seat and enjoy the ride.

Desert Roadrunner operates Monday-Thursday (when Palo Verde College is open) from 5:40 am to 10:30 pm, Friday from 5:40 am to 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. No service is provided on New Year Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Weekend level of service is provided on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Veterans Day and Christmas Eve.

The Desert Roadrunner Fixed Routes
Our Blue Route 1 - City Circulator operates Monday-Friday from 6:40 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, operating every 60 minutes, in a clockwise loop around the City of Blythe.
Our Gold Route 2 - Palo Verde College/Mesa Verde/Hobsonway is offered Monday-Thursday (when Palo Verde College is open) from 7:00 am to 10:30 pm, Friday from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, every 85 to 90 minutes, in a two way intercommunity route between Blythe Marina Mobile Home Estates and Palo Verde College via Hobsonway with certain trips serving Mesa Verde and Ehrenberg.
Express Red Route 3 operates Monday-Friday from the California State Prisons with two AM and two PM trips. These trips will operate from four park and ride lots for your convenience traveling via Hobsonway and Interstate 10.
Desert Roadrunner fixed routes is designed to meet various transit needs of the community. Whether its trips to school, doctor's appointments, shopping centers, the Library, or city parks, the Desert Roadrunner can get you there. Our routes are designed with you in mind!
The Desert Roadrunner fixed routes are flexible routes that can pick you up or drop you off closer to your starting point and destination. The bus will travel up to 3/4 mile on either side of the route (4 city blocks). Reservations are required at least 30 minutes in advance for off-route pick-up or drop-off and are subject to limited availability.
No reservations are needed to ride Desert Roadrunner fixed routes 1, 2 or 3. Check the bus schedules for the time closest to your requested time and location.
All Desert Roadrunner buses are equipped with bike racks for those of you who want to bring your bike along or need to ride to or from your bus stop. When boarding or de-boarding, please notify the driver that you have a bike and will need to utilize the bike racks.

How to ride Desert Roadrunner:
Select your bus route and pick up location.
Read your schedule to select the time closest to your needs.
Have your fare ready when the bus arrives.
Expresso will not pick up passengers inside the parking lots of the Park-N-Ride lots. Bus stops are located right next to each Park-N-Ride Lot.

GoPasses can be purchased through the mail, by picking up a "Pass By Mail" form on the buses or by calling (760) 922-1140 to have one mailed to you.

Do you like to ride and read? Purchase your Palo Verde Valley Times on board all Desert Roadrunner vehicles for 50 cents.
Bike and Ride with us! Bring your bicycle on board all Desert Roadrunner vehicles. Up to two bicycles are allowed on the exterior bicycle racks.
We'll Stop For You! At night, bus operators will stop at non designated at bus stops as long as it is safe to do so.
Free Bus Rides for Jurors! Just show your juror summons to the bus operator and recieve a free ride to and from the courthouse. Free ride only available when the Jury Summons is vaild and only available between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, when the Blythe Courthouse is open.
All Desert Roadrunner vehicles are accessible to two wheelchairs and most vehicles can kneel for those who have trouble boarding buses.
Mobility Training is available to those who would like to be trained on how to ride Desert Roadrunner buses. Please contact John Andoh at (760) 922-4900 for details on how you can be trained to ride a bus! Its a fun and rewarding experience and can save you money!
Take a step back into time by riding on the Gold Route 2 by riding the green and gold trolley or on our red, green and gold trolley which operates on Blue Route 1.

Purchase 1 movie ticket, l large popcorn and 1 large soda at All Star Cinemas and get a free ride home up to two hours after the movie. Show movie ticket or reciept to the bus operator.
Purchase 1 double scoop of ice cream at the Oasis Ice Cream Shop and get a free ride home. Just show reciept to the bus operator within two hours of purchase.
If you have Medi-Cal insurance, just show your Medi-Cal card to the bus operator and pay 50 cents to and from Bandy's Pharmacy.
