The Palo Verde Valley Transit Agency Welcomes You Aboard!
On Desert Roadrunner Dial-A-Ride, the buses run all day, from morning to early evening, seven days a week. Dial-A-Ride service is available to seniors (age 60 years or older), persons with disabilities and the general public with certain restrictions. Dial-A-Ride is a curb-to-curb service that can be used for work, medical appointments, school, meeting, senior services, events and much more. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible for two wheelchairs and bicycle accessible for two bicycles.
Its reliable. Its convenient. The service area for Desert Roadrunner includes the City of Blythe, unincorporated county areas of Mesa Verde, Ripley, rural city areas of Hidden Beaches, California State Prisons, Mesa Bluffs and Riveria Drive. Those who live in the Palo Verde Valley, but not within the Dial-A-Ride service area can use Desert RoadTRIP. Click on Desert RoadTRIP for more details.
Now take the bus. To request a ride, call (760) 922-1140, (800) COMMUTE, TDD/TTY 711 Make your reservations at least two hours in advance since seats do fill up quickly. It is advise that you call at least one day in advance. Your ride should arrive within a 15 minute window. As your bus approaches, be ready to go, since our bus operators will only wait 5 minutes. Once on board, pay your fare, take a seat and enjoy the ride.
Desert Roadrunner Dial-A-Ride General Information
Fares - General Public (ages 5 and up) Effective July 5, 2004: New Fare Schedule effective July 1, 2006 refer to home page: http://paloverdevalleybus.com Transfers are available between Desert Roadrunner Dial-A-Ride and Desert Roadrunner fixed routes for FREE! Please ask the Bus Operator. An additional 1.50 is required for riding Express routes.
GoPasses can be purchased at Desert Roadrunner, Pick up a Pass by Mail form on the buses or call (760) 922-1140 to have one mailed to you.
GoPasses are not refundable or exchangeable.

No service is provided on New Years Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Tips for Using Desert Roadrunner Dial-A-Ride
When you call for a ride, have your pickup and drop-off addresses ready.
Schedule your ride with a one-hour travel time in mind.
Be ready - try to be outside to greet the vehicle, have your fare before you board.
Prevent No-Shows, call at least one hour in advance to cancel your dial-a-ride trip.
Do you like to Ride and Read? Purchase a Palo Verde Valley Times on board for 50 cents on Wednesday and Friday.
Bike and Ride! Bring your bicycle on board for free. Up to two bicycles per bus and passengers must notify dispatch when bringing a bicycle. Free Bus Rides for Jurors! Just show your juror summons to the bus operator and recieve a free ride to and from the courthouse. Passengers must state Jury Duty program when making a reservation. Free ride only available when the Jury Summons is vaild.
Subscription service is available for those riders who need daily, weekly, monthly service.
Passengers can bring up to 5 shopping bags onboard.
Service animals are welcome. Please tell the dispatcher when scheduling the trip. Non-service animals may travel if properly secured in a cage.
Dial-A-Ride Certification
Desert Roadrunner Dial-A-Ride offers priority service to passengers certified under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Seniors (ages 60 years old and older) & persons with disabilities who use Desert Roadrunner Dial-A-Ride must be certified by the Palo Verde Valley Transit Agency. Applications are available at Blythe Senior Center, Blythe City Hall, Riverside County Administrative Center, Palo Verde Valley District Library, Palo Verde Hospital, Sheltering Wings, Palo Verde College, Desert Roadrunner or by calling (760) 922-1140 to have one sent to you. All Dial-A-Ride passengers will be issued a Dial-A-Ride card valid for discounts on the fixed route system.
General Public passengers traveling to/from or within areas that are beyond 3/4 of a mile of the fixed routes can use Dial-A-Ride without certification. Within 3/4 of a mile of the fixed routes, general public passengers must use the fixed routes.
Shop, Save and Get Home Free!
It's really easy, all you need to do is spend 5.00 or more at Albertsons and get a free ride home! If you travel beyond 3/4 of a mile of the fixed routes, you will be charged 1.50. Spend 30.00 or more at Big Kmart and pay only 1.50 for a ride home. receipt to the bus operator. Receipt must be the same day and free ride must be taken within two hours.
